Today Records was a short-lived subsidiary of Perception Records, founded by producer and then Perception VP Patrick Adams in 1971. Adams is known primarily for his songwriting and production work on the New York-based Salsoul Records and Prelude Records and his associations with various recording artists such as R. Kelly, Keith Sweat, Teddy Riley, Salt-N-Pepa, Jocelyn Brown or Loleatta Holloway, Leroy Burgess. Today Records was active for about two years only.
