Sunflower Records was a Los Angeles, California-based record label founded by songwriter Mack David in 1970. The label was named after David's song "Sunflower", which became a major hit for Frank Sinatra in 1949. Sunflower obtained the rights to some 1966 vintage concert recordings by The Grateful Dead and released two successful albums with the material. Other artists on the label included Jasper Wrath, Danny Cox and Randy Edelman.
The label was distributed by MGM Records and released only about 10 albums before it disappeared in 1972.
