Page One Records was a U.K. record label founded by producer/manager Larry Page and producer Dick James (who later discovered Elton John) in 1966. Page, a teenie star from the 1950s, became manager of The Kinks and The Troggs, the latter he brought to his young label.
Several album releases of Page One's final year are now highly regarded collector's items, as the commercial failure of the label led to its demise in 1970. Page went on to found Penny Farthing Records while Dick James started DJM.
