Hallmark Records was launched in November 1967 as a budget reissue label by Pickwick International in cooperation with CBS Records. The label stood in direct competition with EMI's Music For Pleasure label on the UK market. Most of the reissued albums were released by Hallmark with different cover artwork and often also new titles.
There were a selected few original releases on the Hallmark label that attract collectors interest today, like the Sandy Denny and the Strawbs album. Most of the other albums are for completists only, like the many unique compilations that came with sometimes interesting cover designs.
