Double Shot Records (also Double-Shot) was an independent label, started 1966 in Hollywood on Sunset Boulevard. The young label received national attention when one if its first releases, The Count Five's 'Psychotic Reaction' became a major charts hit. However, commercially the band turned out to be a one-hit-wonder and Double Shot released only six albums over its lifespan of seven years. The label ceased to exist shortly after its final album release in 1972.
