Dawn Records (UK) was the 'progressive' subsidiary of Pye Records, similar to Harvest (EMI) or Vertigo (Philips), although its roster more frequently included mainstream rock and pop acts. Dawn was launched in 1970 and stayed active until 1975.
Dawn Records (USA) was a 1950s label, unrelated to the later British label. It was founded in 1954 as a subsidiary of Seeco Records and released about 20 Jazz albums until 1958/59. Although primarily a jazz label, you can also find rock'n'roll, pop and folk music on the American Dawn Records.
