Amos Records was a Los Angeles-based independent record label, founded in 1968 by producer Jimmy Bowen. The label is probably best known for producing early material from members of The Eagles, Don Henley's band Shiloh and Longbranch Pennywhistle featuring Glenn Frey and J.D. Souther. After about three years and 15 album releases, most of them produced by Jimmy Bowen, Amos Records was closed in 1971 when Bowen moved to Nashville, working for major labels like MGM, Elektra and MCA as a country music producer.
