Probe Records was a subsidiary of ABC Records, founded in 1968 as ABC's label for psychedelic rock and progressive rock. In the United States, Probe was active for only less than three years with 17 album releases incl. Rare Bird, Soft Machine, Litter, and Tommy Bolin's Zephyr.
For international markets and the United Kingdom, the Probe label was active much longer (until 1974) and ABC released many of their ABC and Dunhill albums on this sub-label.
