Stepheny Records was a jazz label, founded in 1956 by Norman W. Forgue in Evanston, Illinois. Forgue was a designer and printer of artful and now highly collectible miniature books through his Black Cat Press. The label design of Stepheny Records resembles Forgue's printing work and features a portrait of his daughter who the label is named for.
Stepheny Records produced about 40 singles and 35 albums until 1960, most of them Dixieland and other jazz, but also some rhythm & blues.
