Label Guide: Camay

Camay Records was a budget label based in New York City that was active from 1961 to 1963. The label was founded by Don Ames and Hal Weiss, and for the first two years, Camay issued only 7"-singles. Their entire catalogue of 44 albums was released in 1963. The sound and especially pressing quality of the Camay albums is reportedly not very good, sub-par even for the standard budget label of the early 1960s.
