Stable Records is a now legendary British underground label, based in London, founded in 1968 by Simon Stable. Stable, a percussionist and writer better known as Simon de la Bedoyere, later married British folk legend Judy Dyble (Fairport Convention, King Crimson, Trader Horne) which led to both turning their back on their musical careers.
Even though Stable Records was in business for just about one year, releasing only a handful of albums, the label produced some of the most essential psychedelic rock and blues albums of that time, including Sam Gopal (featuring Motörhead's Lemmy on guitar and vocals), psych blues band Jaklin, and Scottish acid blues rock outfit N.S.U. Stable was distributed by B&C Records.
