B.T. Puppy Records was the record label for Bright Tunes Productions, the publishing company of American vocal group The Tokens (The Lion Sleeps Tonight). The label was founded in 1963, when The Tokens also began working as record producers for other artists, such as The Chiffons, Randy & The Rainbows, and The Happenings, a fellow vocal band that scored several hit singles between 1966 and 1968.
B.T. Puppy was predominantly a singles label and the first album release appeared not before 1966. Distribution was handled by Jubilee Records before it was moved to Warner Bros. in 1969. The label was active until 1972.
