ACTA Records was a short-lived subsidiary of Dot Records that existed from 1967 to 1969 and put out only seven albums altogether. It was created to capitalize on the psychedelic music wave that swept through the United States in 1967, but the only act on ACTA's roster that sold any numbers was The American Breed.
When the popularity of psychedelic rock faded quickly after a few short years, the story of ACTA Records came to a sudden end.
