Label Guide: PRT
PRT (Precision Records & Tapes) was the successor of Pye Records in the United Kingdom. When the rights to the name Pye expired in 1980, the label was forced to adopt a new name. PRT had a bunch of subsidiary labels in the 1980s, and it also handled British distribution for Casablanca Records, Sugar Hill Records and Buddah Records before it ceased operations in 1989.
